North Texas Giving Day on September 17th brings together nonprofits from all over North Texas for one large online fundraising event that has raised more than $60 million into North Texas charities since 2009.

For one day only, North Texas Giving Day provides an opportunity for more than 1,350 nonprofits to reach new audiences. Donations of $25 or more can be made 6AM to Midnight on NorthTexasGivingDay.com and your donations are amplified by the Communities Foundation of Texas.

This year, HARWOOD District is teaming up with Connecting Point to help raise money to help adults with special needs. Connecting Point is a day program that seeks to provide a meaningful day for adults with special needs, or teammates as they are called at the program. They set themselves apart by being a program that focuses on what their teammates CAN do, rather they what they cannot do. Volunteers take teammates out into the community with trips to museums, eating at restaurants, painting, cooking and learning social and independent living skills. But most importantly, they are always having a great time.

If you have a special cause that is close to your heart, you can search for other nonprofits on NorthTexasGivingDay.com. The site allows you to search by category, county and city to help you find the right organization for your donations.

We invite you to join us on North Texas Giving Day on Thursday, September 17th to help raise funds for organizations like Connecting Point that are making a difference in our communities!

To donate to Connecting Points, visit their page on North Texas Giving Day’s website. Donations will start being accepted on September 17th at 6 AM CDT.
