TryGuide: 10 Best Bars To Bring Your FurChild: http://bit.ly/DogFriendlyBar
By: Genesis Lee

Best thing about Dallas is there’s never a need to leave that furry pup of yours at home alone. Dallas loves your dog, and we welcome your furry child to enjoy time with the rest of human civilization. They’re basically furry humans anyway. So grab the leash and treat bags, and head to these top 10 favorite dog-friendly bars!

  1. TruckYard // Lower Greenville
Food trucks, Philly cheesesteaks, so many beers and specialty drinks, AND there’s an ice cream shop attached. The backyard is patio, family style seating, so there’s plenty of room to bring your pup along.

  2. Lee Harvey's // The Cedars
Probably the most perfect dog-friendly dive bar in Dallas; Lee Harvey’s is so chill your dog will ask for a beer too.

  3. Mutts Cantina // Uptown
Mutts Cantina is more than a bar, Mutts is a full off-leash dog park. With 2-acres of off-leash park, plus a full bar and restaurant, Mutts will quickly be your favorite afternoon go-to.

  4. Twilite Lounge // Deep Ellum
Twilite Lounge is unassuming at first, but you will see how awesome the place is as soon as you walk in. Reasons to go: quiet patio in the back, bring your own food (like grab pizza from Serious), great drinks, and lots of live music.

  5. Katy Trail Ice House // Uptown
Right off the Katy Trail means you can wear your pup out with a long walk and then cool off at the Ice House. Loads of doggy water bowls with fresh cold water are available in the large backyard. Also, you have to try some of their insane margaritas.

  6. Braindead Brewing // Deep Ellum
Braindead Brewing is the perfect patio on a sunny afternoon or a late night. It’s right off the street, so it’s great for people watching with your dog. They have amazing beers on draft, and their menu is amazing. They have beer and bacon flights… I repeat: BEER & BACON FLIGHTS.

  7. Ten Bells Tavern // Bishop Arts District
Amazing drink specials and happy hours to be had at Ten Bells Tavern. Don’t miss their Trivia Night every Wednesday night; you can win gift cards! Ten Bells loves their community kitties, so be sure to keep your pup on a short leash, and remind him he can look, but don’t touch the kitties.

  8. Goodfriend Beer Garden & Burger House // Lake & Garden District
Beer. Mimosas. Bloody Mary’s. Frozen strawberry limeade. Burgers. Need I go on? Basically bring your pup and get ready for a danged good time.

  9. The Grove // HARWOOD District
All the pups are welcome at The Grove at Harwood! Lots of drink options; but they also have hammocks! Head to The Grove for some volleyball or other outdoor games they have set up. Open seasonally since it’s an all outdoor bar.

  10. The Wild Detectives // Bishop Arts District
The best dog-friendly backyard in Bishop Arts, your pup will love chilling out under one of their great big picnic tables hoping for scraps from our delicious small plate of cheese. Not only does Wild Detectives have a full bar, but they also have coffee! So you can get your alcohol and caffeine fix all in the same spot.

With this list, you have no excuse to leave your best friend at home. You’re welcome, little furry guy!
