SHUKUGA is a Japanese word meaning “celebration”, which is appropriate for this event! Stop by The Ann & Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Museum: The Samurai Collection this Saturday, June 20th from noon to 4 pm for a festival inspired by the summer exhibition, Warrior Crowns: Extraordinary Samurai Helmets. This event has food, fun and art for all ages! Join in the celebration by making your own warrior helmet, creating easy origami, going on a samurai scavenger hunt, or designing your own sketchbook using traditional bookbinding techniques. You can even write your wishes down on tanzaku decorations that you can hang on the wish tree.
