North Texas Giving Day is an online giving event for people across the nation (and the world!) to come together to raise as much money as possible for North Texas nonprofits on one day: September 22, 2016. In seven years, North Texas Giving Day has pumped $119 million into the North Texas community. The online event begins at 6 a.m. on Thursday, September 22nd and ends at midnight.
HARWOOD District is partnering with Make-A-Wish to offer donation stations in the lobbies of our six commercial buildings and 10% of all food revenue at our seven restaurants will be donated to the charity for North Texas Giving Day. The Donation stations will be open 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the building lobbies and from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Happiest Hour.
The mission of Make-A-Wish is to “grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.” Wishes are more than just a nice thing. And they are far more than gifts, or singular events in time. Wishes impact everyone involved - wish kids, volunteers, donors, sponsors, medical professionals and communities. Their goal is to provide children with the hope for better times, the strength for the tough times and the joy to experience the present. We have granted more than 8,500 wishes since our inception in 1982 and now a wish is granted every 35 minutes.
Join HARWOOD District for North Texas Giving Day to raise funds to help grant more wishes for children all across the United States.
